1. Who we are
Priscale is operated by Orthographik LLC. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Questions or requests can be sent to legal@orthographik.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Account information: your name, email address, password, and preferences such as language and time zone.
- Social sign-in details: when you sign in with Google or GitHub, the provider shares basic profile information with us, such as your name, email address, and account identifier.
- Business data you enter: your services, products, estimates, customers, companies, expenses, employees, and market prices. This may include personal information about your own customers and employees, which we process on your behalf.
- Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe, and we never store your full card details on our servers. We keep records of your subscription and billing history.
- Usage and log data: technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and activity logs, including a record of when and from which IP address you accepted our terms.
- Messages you send us: when you use our contact form, we keep the name, email address, and message you submit.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve the service, sign you in and keep your account secure, process payments, communicate with you about the service, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the service, and only as needed for them to do their work:
- Stripe, which processes payments on our behalf;
- Mapbox, which provides maps and converts the addresses you enter into map coordinates;
- DigitalOcean, which hosts the service and stores its data;
- Mailgun, which delivers the emails we and the service send on your behalf;
- Cloudflare, which helps protect our sign-in, registration, password-reset, and contact forms from automated abuse;
- Swetrix, which provides cookieless usage analytics;
- the social sign-in provider you choose, when you use social sign-in.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, remember your session, and keep the service secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Analytics
We use Swetrix, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how the service is used — which pages are visited, how visitors move through the app, and which technical errors occur in the browser. Swetrix sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are counted using a short-lived, irreversible identifier derived from your IP address and browser; the raw IP address is discarded immediately and never stored.
When you are signed in, we link this activity to your internal account number — never your name or email address — so we can understand how the service is used by real accounts. We do this based on our legitimate interest in improving the service. Analytics data is never used for advertising and is never shared with anyone else.
7. Data retention
We retain your information while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within about 30 days, except for records we are required to keep for billing, tax, or other legal purposes.
8. Security
We protect your information with measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
You can view and update most of your information directly in the service. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@orthographik.com and we will respond within the time the law requires.
10. Where your information is processed
The service is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there.
11. Children
The service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you, for example by email or a notice in the service, and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
